As Clean Energy Manager, Loraima oversees the development and implementation of key aspects of programmatic activities in Puerto Rico. Loraima creates and manages partnerships, conducts analyses, and fosters collaboration among NGOs, agencies, community partners and others. Loraima leads the Providing Resilient and Affordable Solar Energy for the Majority of Very Low-income single-family households in Culebra, Puerto Rico, day-to-day operations of a community-based solar and storage project in Culebra Puerto Rico, developing a network of other communities interested in similar projects.
Background
Loraima's interdisciplinary background is focused on Energy and combines Social Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management, and Policy. She has contributed to initiatives in Puerto Rico, such as community water supply resilience projects and the Puerto Rico Solar Business Accelerator. She has been part of the Grid Modernization team in the Transmission system in Puerto Rico, leading regulatory teams in distributed generation, microgrids, among other DERs.
