About Mallory Honan, Livestock Methane Scientist

Mallory Honan

Livestock Methane Scientist

Work

Areas of expertise:

Livestock methane emissions, sustainable livestock systems, ruminant nutrition, feed additives, dairy production

Description

Mallory Honan is a scientist on the Livestock Methane Science Team, supporting scientifically rigorous livestock methane reduction strategies as part of the Dairy Methane Action Alliance. She collaborates with key stakeholders to develop practical, actionable guides for implementing solutions on dairy farms.

Mallory is an animal scientist with a background in ruminant nutrition and sustainable livestock systems. Most recently, she worked for a startup that cultivated red seaweed as a feed additive for methane mitigation in cattle, goats and sheep. She holds a doctorate degree from the University of California, Davis, as well as a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from The University of Vermont.
