The expected message frequency is four (4) per month. There is no fee from Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) to receive text messages from Us, however, message and data rates may apply, and we encourage you to check with your mobile service provider.

Alerts sent via SMS/MMS may not be delivered if the mobile phone is not in range of a transmission site, if sufficient network capacity is not available at a particular time, or if other factors like weather, terrain, proximity to buildings interfere with reception by your device. Neither We, nor any wireless operators can guarantee message delivery, and We are not held liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

By opting in and subscribing to EDF alerts, you consent to receive 4 text messages a month from EDF. If you have any questions, text HELP to 228333 or contact us at 202-572-3298. All references to sharing data with third parties in this Privacy Statement exclude mobile number opt-in data and consent; and we will not share this information with any third parties for their own uses. We will only use such information for the purposes for which you opted in.
