Statement by EDF President Fred Krupp
(Washington – February 6, 2013) Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) President Fred Krupp released the following statement in response to President Obama’s announced intention to nominate Sally Jewell, president and CEO of Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI), as Secretary of the Interior:

She will bring to the job an inspiring mix of engineering, finance, recreation and conservation expertise. We look forward to working with her to continue the department’s work in developing renewable energy, restoring the Gulf Coast, and creating new tools to manage endangered species, such as those that reward landowners for restoring habitat.”
