This past fall, both the United Nations and the U.S. governments’ National Climate Assessment issued alarming scientific reports stating climate change is accelerating and its adverse impacts are happening faster than expected. These reports call for the world to rapidly shift to clean energy systems over the next couple of decades or face increasing and more damaging consequences of climate change.
